Last week, we hit pause on new features and focused entirely on improving the foundation of our platform — fixing things, refining interactions, and making sure everything works just right. Here's a peek behind the curtain at what we tackled during Platform Week.

Nested Slider modules

Sliders were sometimes misbehaving inside components and repeaters — we fixed that.

A clean sweep in the Shopify App embed

We gave our Shopify core integration a big refactor. Everything from build performance to live preview is smoother and more stable. 

Smarter video handling

Videos that fail to load now automatically hide their controls, keeping your designs clean and glitch-free.

Image improvements

Images now come with a handy data-media-id attribute — a small change with big impact for custom logic and integrations.

Better drag & drop

• No more dropping into hidden elements.

• Dragging grid items won’t make them jump unexpectedly.

• The variant picker now accurately reflects the final styles and looks correct on canvas.

Say hello to ‘Cut’

A small but powerful addition: You can now cut (copy + delete) directly in the dashboard. Fewer clicks, more speed. Use cmd+x (mac) or ctrl+x (windows) keyboard shortcut!

One ‘Undo’ to rule them all

We’ve made undo more intuitive. Complex actions that used to require two undo steps now only need one.

New: External Cart API

By popular request, we added support for external scripts to trigger cart updates via window.Instant.api.updateCart. Handy for advanced integrations!

A new dashboard

Our redesigned dashboard makes it easier to discover new templates, stay up to date with product improvements, and quickly start building new layouts.

Font fixes

The default Inter font now renders correctly in the builder — no more unexpected typefaces.

Faster, smoother loading

We’ve implemented smarter CSS preloading to reduce layout shifts and speed up your Shopify pages.

Updated to support Stamped’s new Shopify integration approach — everything works as expected out of the box.
