This update brings improvements across the Instant builder, AI workflows, storefront behavior, and billing, making it easier to build, edit, and manage your Shopify store.

Builder & Canvas

We’ve improved the day-to-day builder experience so you can move faster and spend less time getting back to where you were.

• Continue where you left off: The builder now reopens the last layout you were working on.

• Set pages as your homepage: When publishing a page, Instant can now suggest setting it as your Shopify homepage.

• Improved layouts panel: The layouts panel remembers its height, and searches clear correctly when you close it.

• Cleaner Quick Search: Archived projects no longer appear in Quick Search or the Command Palette.

• Visible validation errors: Errors now appear directly on the canvas instead of actions failing silently.

• Better Shopify image support: Images referenced only through a Shopify GID now load correctly in the builder.

Instant AI & Studio

The Instant Agent can now navigate your store and Instant resources more effectively, while Studio gets an upgraded default image model.

• Gemini 3.1 Flash Image: Studio now uses Gemini 3.1 Flash Image as its default image generation model.

• Help Center search: The Agent can search Instant Help Center articles and open the full article when it needs more information.

• Smarter page navigation: The Agent can scroll directly to a named section when applying edits.

• Send images directly: You can now send the Agent an image without adding a text message.

• Improved links: Links shared by the Agent now open in a new tab.

Storefront

We’ve made Instant storefronts more compatible with Shopify themes and improved how dynamic product and collection data behaves.

• Horizon 4 cart support: Instant Cart now works with Horizon 4 cart-drawer triggers.

• More reliable Instant Cart: The cart remains visible even when your Shopify theme doesn’t include a footer.

• Cleaner single-variant products: Shopify’s default variant title is now hidden for products with only one variant.

• Better collection navigation: Collection filters and sorting are preserved when visitors use browser back and forward navigation or localized URLs.

• Product metafields in repeaters: Product metafields can now be used in repeater conditionals and are evaluated separately for each product.

• Improved variant conditionals: Default variant metafield values now resolve correctly inside conditional logic.

Billing & Plans

Starter gets more building capacity, while billing and upgrades are now easier to manage.

• More included with Starter: Starter now includes 10 theme sections and 3 reusable templates, increased from 5 sections and 1 template.

• Manage billing from Settings: You can manage your subscription directly from Settings, including paused or frozen subscriptions.

• Immediate plan updates: After upgrading, the dashboard automatically refreshes your plan and displays your new limits without requiring a page reload.
