What is the main difference between Instant and GemPages?

Instant is a Shopify-native page builder that outputs clean Liquid code, has native A/B testing, and includes features like custom navigation, a custom cart drawer, and Shopify Markets support. GemPages requires a separate app (GemX) for A/B testing isn’t a complete theme builder since it is not possible yet to customize your navigation or the cart drawer.

Does Instant offer built-in A/B testing?

Yes. Instant includes server-side A/B testing starting on the Pro plan ($99/mo). You can test up to 6 variants, avoid flicker, and get auto-winner detection powered by Bayesian stats. GemPages offers a separate app for A/B testing starting at $49/mo (on top of your existing GemPages subscription).

Can I build my navigation, header, footer, and Shopify cart drawer in Instant?

Yes. Instant lets you fully customize your navigation menus, footers, and cart drawer—no extra apps required. Gempages does not offer these features at any plan level.
