Inside ENC Agency’s design workflow: From Figma to Shopify with Instant
When beauty brand Melt by Melissa approached ENC Agency, they were ready for a serious Shopify glow-up. Their existing site, built on Shogun, no longer matched the level of polish and performance the brand had grown into. With two brick-and-mortar service locations and a fast-growing product line, Melt needed a site that could reflect both sides of the business equally well: service and eCommerce.
ENC designer Elizabeth Brummer took the lead on the rebuild.
“We wanted to give her a clean desktop and mobile interface that emphasized services and products alike,” says Elizabeth.
They chose Instant to power the transformation, starting with the homepage, then expanding out across the full store.
A service-first homepage with branded interaction
Elizabeth started with one of the most strategic elements: a Shopify homepage that would push services to the forefront while still supporting product discovery.
“We started with the home page. We wanted this page to emphasize service first, over product, and so we led with clear “book” CTA’s and a clearly defined service gallery,” says Elizabeth.

In addition to the positioning and messaging, they also wanted to create a homepage that could bring the brand to life visually, without compromising load speed or performance.
“We wanted to make this very visually engaging and interactive, so we took advantage of using Instant’s Interaction capabilities for hover/focused modes.”
They also gave the navigation a full design refresh.

“Instant made it so easy to create a beautifully responsive navbar for both desktop and mobile!” says Elizabeth, “We made custom SVGs for cart and profile icons, to give a completely branded experience.”
Figma-first workflow meets Shopify-native output
ENC has a Figma-based design workflow, and Instant’s Figma copy/paste functionality made it easy to move fast without losing creative control:
“We work in Figma, so we were able to use a combo of Instant templates and copy/paste from Figma to Instant, after we showed the client the initial Figma file. ” Elizabeth explains.
The fact that Instant is directly integrated with Shopify meant that product pages could be previewed and tested in real time, complete with live inventory:
“Instant’s seamless connection to Shopify allowed me to test designs in real time, connected to real product inventory, in order to see how the design can best come to life.”
From migration to full redesign, one section at a time
Rather than rebuild everything at once, ENC used Instant to migrate the site in stages.
“We made the intentional decision to begin the migration from Shogun to Instant, so we have been gradually migrating as we go,” shares Elizabeth. “It started with the home page/navbar and footer, and then we tackled service and product pages.”
This phased approach let them test and refine their work quickly, while building confidence with the client. Each new section brought an opportunity to add branded details, like the custom SVG icons and scroll-based animation, to enhance the Melt experience.
“Instant made it so easy to put SVGs that I designed in Figma directly into my product page! At ENC, we believe attention to detail goes a long way, and so this little expression of intentionality really came to life using Instant.”

A platform built for design-led agencies
Elizabeth was initially drawn to Instant for its Figma integration, but it was the template library and team support that sealed the deal.
“Figma to Instant was what got me initially hooked on Instant! But after discovering so many beautifully crafted templates in the library, I would say that was the most helpful by far,” shares Elizabeth. “I also immensely appreciate how responsive the Instant team was and continues to be during the design process. There were moments when I encountered problems I couldn’t figure out, and the team literally rushed to the rescue. A combo of Instant’s helpful user guides, as well as quick response times, helped me really create something powerful that I was able to confidently present to our client.”
Results: A site that balances service and eCom beautifully
Today, Melt by Melissa’s new Shopify storefront clearly communicates both sides of the business. Customers can book services or shop products with equal ease, and every part of the experience feels cohesive and branded.
“The main goal was to push services, and now I feel that the site has beautiful service AND product pages alike,” says Elizabeth. “This site now enables customers to come onto the site and easily explore, understand, and book their next appointment (as well as buy their favorite products).”
Advice to other agencies?
“USE IT!” Elizabeth says. “As a designer who has been hesitant to commit to Shopify builds, I can confidently say I feel very equipped and enabled to build a beautiful, functional, and powerful Shopify site for nearly any client now, thanks to the power of Instant. Instant is on the forefront of Shopify website design and dev. They are constantly introducing new features and improving the platform, and I will be recommending it to anyone.’
With Instant, ENC Agency was able to elevate Melt by Melissa’s entire online experience, without compromising on design, speed, or Shopify-native functionality.
For agencies juggling brand expression, client collaboration, and technical execution, this build proves what's possible when the right tools are in place. From Figma-to-site workflows to real-time Shopify previews, Instant enabled ENC to work smarter, move faster, and deliver a storefront that’s not just beautiful, but built to scale.
